A wedding ceremony on the patio at the River Café feels like having your wedding at friend's beautiful fishing lodge. Except that the fishing lodge is conveniently in downtown Calgary and your friend is a really, really good chef!
The River Café is such a beautiful spot that somehow feels secluded and rustic despite being in the middle of Prince's Island Park and having a view to downtown.
This is the perfect Calgary Wedding Venue for couples who love the rustic, Alberta Rocky Mountain feel, but still want to keep everything in the city and have amazing food.
For me as a Calgary Wedding Photographer it is one of those great venues where you can spend all your time photographing and none of your time driving! You have the beautiful setting of Prince's Island Park, Eau Claire and the Peace Bridge all within walking distance for your wedding photos and you can have both your ceremony and reception in the beautiful cafe! The park makes for a colourful and diverse wedding spot in every season as well with flowering trees and gardens for spring weddings, river access and greenery for summer wedding photography, changing leaves in fall and the calm water of the lagoon and great architecture for winter weddings
Another bonus of such a beautiful spot is that decoration is basically taken care of for you! With the interior already perfectly decorated in elegant, rustic decor and big windows looking out onto the park you can basically leave it as is if you wish to keep it simple.
You can find out all the details on their wedding website which also has information on The Deane House, another fantastic, historic Calgary Wedding venue in Inglewood.
