Musical is the best word for me to describe Oldelia & Bobby's wedding day.
singing, dancing and music were a constant from start to finish over the two days I spent with them capturing their wedding ceremonies.
Friends and family of all ages burst into song and dance many times at every opportunity! It was amazing to watch and capture. Oldelia and Bobby had two ceremonies. The first was the Traditional Wedding and is a cultural wedding featuring ceremonies from their home countries of Nigeria and Congo.
The kola nut and coral bead jewellery were important parts of the traditional ceremony and there was of course an impromptu song and dance from Bobby's smiling mother!
The next day was also amazingly musical with singing of lively hymns at the wedding ceremony and best of all the dance party got started early and kept going straight through into the night!
This was an amazing day that had so much love and joy that took the form in many cases of music and dance! Many of the traditions and ceremonies were new to me, but the love and joy were on full display as with all weddings I am privileged enough to photograph!
Here are a few of my favourites from Oldelia and Bobby's colourful and musical wedding day!
...Plus a few bonus images from their Traditional African Wedding at the end as well!
